Hi there, I'm brand new to the SAP world and don't know very much about it. We're trying to intall the HANA 64 bit client as we would like to query HANA views using ODBC.

Requirement: We want to connect HANA database systemfrom Microsoft Excel. This is one of the most common client requirement, where theywant to access HANA data from Excel and generate basic reports.

Install Odbc For Microsoft Access

Select 'Support Packages and patches'from left menu.

Now follow the path highlighted in below screenshot anddownload the latest client media file(highlighted).

Once the executable client file is downloaded from SAP Service marketplace, then double click on it to install ODBC HANA client on our PC.
Driver

Once the HANA client for MS excel is installed, start MS exceland open new workbook.
Go to 'Data' > 'From Other Sources' >'From DATA Connection Wizard'

We will getfollowing connection wizard opened , now select 'Other Advanced'

Download Hana Odbc Driver

Now select 'SAPHANA MDX Provider' , this option will only appear if the HANA ODBC client forexcel properly installed.

Enter the HANAconnection parameters and press 'Test Connection'. If theconnectivity is established you will get 'Test Connection Succeeded'pop-up.
Once we press OK ,it will list down all your HANA schema along with the views created in SAPHANA.

Microsoft Access Odbc Driver Download

Select the schemarequired and then press next. We will get following screen to save theconnection parameters so that we do not have to create it every time.
