but without drivers...
I require free driver software for honestech. USB TV tuner box. It uses Honestech TVR 2. Tv tuner card. I have an hp laptop with windows 7 OS. Honestech makes drivers for their products.Check with Honestech to verify if it’s compatible, or if they have drivers.
Download Drivers

I already checked manufacturer's website, they don't have any updated drivers for Windows 7, they only have drivers for Windows Xp.
My Honestech TV Tuner card is working fine in Windows Xp, but I don't know why is Windows 7 not able to detect it.
Please let me know of a solution...

Since Honestech does not have drivers it may not be compatible - meaning it will not work in Windows 7.To manually check for hardware, follow these steps:
1. Click the Start button. In the search box, type 'run' and then, in the list of results, click Run.
2. In the Run dialog box, type 'hdwwiz' and then click OK.
3. Follow the instructions in the wizard, and then click Next.
When the manufacturer does not have drivers, try Windows Update - Update driver for hardware that isn't working properly:

I am not able to install these drivers which are used for my TV Tuner Card:
-Multimedia Controller
-Multimedia Video Controller

The only other workaround would be to install the old drivers in compatibility mode.if this doesn't work you will not be able to use the tuner with Windows 7.Troubleshoot Compatibility
This can help with some (but not all) programs/drivers:
1) Uninstall the program if it's already installed. Then when you install/reinstall it instead of double clicking on the install file right click it and select 'Troubleshoot Compatibility'

2) Then click 'Try Recommended Settings' and in the next window click 'Start the Program' to install it.
3) After it installs see if it works correctly. Please note - some programs may not be able to run in Windows 7.

I installed the Honestech TVR software for TV Tuner Card meant for Windows Xp using compatibility mode.., but the problem is with drivers. Windows 7 is not able to find any drivers for the TV Tuner Card. After I run the installed software, it throws error - Device not Found. :(

I am unable to install drivers for my TV Tuner Card - Honestech TVR, in my Windows 7(64 bits). In Windows XP it was working fine.
Please suggest a solution to this. I am however able to install the honestech tvr software, but without drivers, its useless.
